The Transformation of a 1934 Firehouse into a Modern Event Space
How a piece of Warrington’s history was reimagined for the next generation
In 1934, our building opened its doors as the home of Warrington Fire Company No. 1.
It wasn’t fancy—but it was functional. Brick walls, a pair of garage bays, and a pole in the corner to help firefighters move fast when the bell rang. For decades, it was the center of emergency response and civic life in our town.
But when the fire company moved to a larger facility, the old firehouse stood quiet. Forgotten by some, but never without potential.
We saw more than just an empty building—we saw a chance to create something special.
From Engine Company to Community Staple
Instead of tearing the structure down or stripping away its identity, we made it our mission to restore the firehouse with care and intention.
We preserved the original brick, the high ceilings, and yes—the firepole. But we also layered in new life: polished concrete floors, dramatic lighting, a private courtyard, a built-in bar, and a design-forward space that feels warm, open, and versatile.
The result is The Fire One—a one-of-a-kind event venue where history meets modern hospitality.
It’s more than just a building. It’s a tribute to Warrington’s roots and a canvas for new memories to be made.
A Vision to Restore, Not Replace

Most old municipal buildings end up knocked down or turned into storage. But for this firehouse, the future was different.
A small team of local developers and designers saw something special. They didn’t want to erase history—they wanted to celebrate it.
Instead of leveling the space, they got to work preserving the building’s structural bones.
The original garage doors were refurbished. Exposed brick was cleaned, not covered. Even the firepole was saved and now stands as a visual centerpiece inside the space.
The team poured over historical photos and township records to maintain authenticity while making room for luxury and functionality. It wasn’t easy. But it was worth it.
After a meticulous renovation, the firehouse reopened with a new name and a bold new purpose: The Fire One — a boutique event venue unlike anything else in Warrington.
Inside the New Space

Today, The Fire One is almost unrecognizable—but in the best possible way.
The industrial character of the firehouse remains intact: brick walls, steel beams, and 20-foot ceilings still frame the space. But now it’s warmed by modern lighting, polished floors, custom furniture, and thoughtful design that blends old and new.
The main hall is wide open and versatile. It can be staged for a candlelit wedding, a networking event, a baby shower, or even a local art showcase.
There’s a built-in bar, catering kitchen, and sound system designed for seamless events. The upper level—once used for offices and firefighter bunk space—has been reimagined as a green room or bridal suite with exposed rafters and soft lighting.
Outside, a private courtyard allows guests to mingle under the stars or enjoy a cocktail hour in the fresh air. It’s enclosed, well-lit, and perfect for spring and fall events.
Everything feels curated—but not pretentious. And that’s the charm.
Our Services, Built Around the Space

We designed our services to work with the space, not just inside it.
Whether you're planning a wedding, a private dinner, a baby shower, or a pop-up market, we offer flexible rental packages that scale to your needs. You can rent just the space or let us handle more—through vendor referrals, setup support, and day-of coordination.
Every rental includes access to:
A private suite upstairs for wedding parties or VIPs
A full prep kitchen for your caterer
Lounge furniture and banquet tables
Pro audio system with wireless mics
Outdoor lighting and seating for our courtyard
We’ve also built strong relationships with some of the region’s best photographers, florists, caterers, DJs, and planners—many of whom know the space well and can help you pull off an event that feels seamless.
Our team works hands-on with every host to make sure the building works for your vision. Need a theater-style setup? No problem. Want cozy lounge seating and cafe lights overhead? We’ve got you.
The flexibility of the layout allows us to transform the space from formal to casual, daytime to candlelit evening, all without sacrificing flow or comfort.
And whether you're expecting 30 guests or 130, the vibe stays intimate and intentional—just like it should.
What’s Next?

We’re continuing to expand what The Fire One can offer. In addition to private rentals, we’re starting to host occasional public events—local markets, seasonal showcases, and open house nights where you can explore the space without booking it.
And because we’re based right here in Warrington, we’re always thinking about how we can serve the community better—whether that’s through supporting local vendors, creating gathering space, or opening our doors to causes that matter.
If you're planning an event and want something beautiful, flexible, and full of character—we’d love to show you around.
The building may be almost 100 years old…
But this is just the beginning.
